PHHS Sophomore, Nathan Teitelbaum recognized for Voice of Democracy Scholarship
Launch the media gallery 1 playerCongratulations to PHHS Sophomore, Nathan Teitelbaum who was recognized as the Pleasant Hill VFW Post 3118 (and it’s Auxiliary), as the Winner in the annual ‘Voice of Democracy’ Scholarship Contest. Mr. Teitelbaum’s audio-essay will go on to compete at the VFW District level this December! Nathan was awarded a Certificate, a 1st place gold medal, and a check in the amount of $200.00 from the VFW Post. The Voice of Democracy is an audio-essay program providing high-school students with an opportunity to express their viewpoints on democracy and patriotism. This year’s theme was “America: Where Do We Go From Here?” Last Year, nearly 57,000 9-12th grade students from across the country entered to win a portion of the more than 2 million in scholarships and incentives. The Post and community wish Nathan luck as his audio-essay moves onto the next level!
