Encore Classes

Students have been working on building a foundation in physical education. Students are learning to move at different levels, directions, paths, speed/tempo, and general and personal space. Students are also beginning to refine their locomotor skills: walking, jogging, running, galloping, side-scooting, hopping, hopping, and hopping.

What to work on for physical education?

Can your student... climb stairs alternating feet or one foot?

Can your student... quickly tell you which hand is left and which is right?

Can your student... tie their own shoes?

Can your student... balance on one foot for 10 seconds?

Can your student... hop on one foot 5 times in a row with good balance?

Can your student...jump?

Please help remind your child to wear tennis shoes to every PE class.

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION is a free way to earn money for our school. Last year I was able to purchase the bouncy house and obstacle course from Creative Carnival and Events with the BOX TOP money I had saved over a few years. It was a wonderful experience that the students loved at the end of the COVID school year last May. Here's a BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION video to help explain how...it's free https://www.boxtops4education.com/About

-Ask your family and friends to get them to collect. The more we collect, the more we earn.

-Box tops have expiration dates, so try to ship them at least once a month, if not more.

-You can send the box tops in a bag and download the new BOX TOPS APP.

Tricia Beaman

Hello from the Library!  Your kids are doing a fabulous job of returning their library books this year.  I am very proud of them!

We are hosting a second Book Fair on May 11-May 18.  It will be a Buy One, Get One Free book fair.  We love those!  Look for more information to come home towards the end of April.  I will be having a Family Night and open times during the day that parents can come in to shop.  Happy Spring!
