Changes to COVID-19 Mitigation Plan
Pleasant Hill Parents and Staff:
At the Sept. 7, 2021, special meeting of the SCHOOL BOARD, the Board approved changes to the COVID-19 Mitigation Plan. These changes will require all children and adults in grades PreK-12 to wear face coverings inside all district facilities. This includes staff and visitors, regardless of vaccination status.
The vote passed with a 6-0 approval.
The SCHOOL DISTRICT will require face coverings be worn while inside District facilities by staff, students, and visitors beginning immediately, regardless of vaccination status. The Board will review this issue every month to consider any changes to the requirement. If a student has a documented medical issue or special education designation which makes wearing a face covering unadvisable, we will need to have a doctor’s note on file to excuse the student from wearing a face covering.
Children and staff that are currently under quarantine or isolation are still required to remain at home until their provided return to school date.
Face coverings are required for those who ride the bus. Buses are considered public transportation, so students and drivers are federally required to wear masks at this time.
